Club Meeting - Guest Speaker/Workshop Evening.........Lisa Kurtz
About this event:
Lisa Kurtz
We have a very exciting evening, which is not to be missed, this Monday 21 October at the Aspley Camera Club.
You will hear our honoured Guest Speaker, Lisa Kurtz speak about Visual Literacy in the Context of Contemporary Photography.
Lisa is a Brisbane-based photographic artist and a founding member of VERGE Collective, https://www.vergecollective.com.au/about.
Lisa says “My practice explores ideas of environment, memory and time.”
Most recently, Lisa was a finalist in the 2019 Olive Cotton Photographic Award for Portraiture. Lisa is a graduate of QCA and will talk about her work and the contemporary photographers who inspire her.
So folks, release yourself from the traditional and delve into these newer directions and ideas, which, it may be said, you might find challenging.
Let’s share ideas.
The evening begins at 7.30pm on Monday. Everyone and anyone is welcome to attend, our own club members, members from other camera clubs and the general community. Our address is Bracken Ridge Community Hall situated at 77 Bracken St Bracken Ridge. Entry is $4 at the door to cover hall hire and refreshments.
Make it an evening to remember, I want to see as many club members attend as possible.
