Lecture/Workshop: Part 1 - ACC Website Workshop presented by Owen Marks; Part 2 - Can We Do Better? presented by Peter Law
About this event:
As a result of continued challenges in relation to COVID 19, our previously advertised guest speaker, Stephen Axford (Fungi Photography), will now be presenting in March 2021. We look forward to welcoming him to our club premises next year!
Our October Workshop is now being presented by 2 of our club members and we look forward to welcoming you to the Club Hall on the 19th October. A ZOOM link will be provided prior to the evening for those of you who wish to view online from home. There will be opportunity for discussion and member questions and contributions. Thank you Owen and Peter for stepping up at late notice to run these presentations.
PART ONE:
ASPLEY CAMERA CLUB WEBSITE WORKSHOP (presented by Owen Marks – Club President)
- Setting up User Profiles
- Future directions
- Club members’ suggestions and feedback
PART 2:
CAN WE DO BETTER? (presented by Peter Law – Committee Member)
How Do We Improve Our Ranking in Interclub Competition? How do our images compare with those of other Camera Clubs? Let’s find the answers to these questions together. This evening we will look at the Award Winning entries in the recent Qld Interclub Digital Competition won by Qld Camera Group.
We will also look at the 21 images entered from our club and their scores. In an Impact Judging scenario are we producing photographs with that initial impact and WOW factor? In most cases the Judges make their scoring decision in less than 2 seconds.
This will be a group discussion. Come along and contribute. Help us to find ways to get Aspley Camera Club and YOUR photography up there in Lights.
Your physical attendance at the club venue would be much preferred if you can make it. This type of discussion is not easily accomplished with a Zoom component, but we will try.
