I am planning another night time light painting session for club members to be held on the foreshore at Shorncliffe on the 17th April. This session will include firewheels (use of steel wool )  and anybody with lighting torches or kiddies type lighting sticks , anything that can be used by tying to a small length of string/rope and twirling it around in a circle at night-time to attain different shapes and patterns.

The effects of this twirling is best captured with a long shutter speed (normally around 8-12 seconds ) and on a tripod  Best iso is around 200-250 and it depends on aperture of around the F8 area.

The area I am planning on using is when you come down to the Shorncliffe Pier head back towards Cabbage Tree Creek to the groyne that goes out into the water, the water level at this time will be dead low at 6.20 pm on Saturday night. Reflections should be able to captured as the water will be out a bit away from the shore.

Interested members can R.S.V.P. so I know how many is coming.
