On Thursday, 3rd February, we’ll be taking our next PhotoWalk – this time around the George Street end of the CBD.

We’ll meet in the park beside the Brisbane Magistrates Court at 363 George St.

Early morning in the CBD is a great time for photography.

This morning I checked out this location (in the rain – of course) and took well over 100 photos before enjoying a wonderful breakfast at the café I’d decided on for us. Then I was told that they don’t do group bookings these days, owing to a lack of patrons in the CBD – everyone working from home again – which has resulted in a cut back on their staff.

So I went looking for another café that would take us and found one that looks perfect. Can’t say that I’ve eaten there now, but the menu looks fine – varied and reasonably priced. The staff were very helpful and friendly so I’ve made a booking there, with numbers to be confirmed closer to the date.

It’s Cicada at 275 George St (also accessible from Adelaide St).

Make it a date in your diary – these walks are great opportunities not only for photography but also to get to know others more and enjoy each other’s company.
